Grand Opening of Old North Grocery COOP

A little help goes a long way. Click on the link below for COOP news from last September which is tied to a little help given by AFH & some Washington U. Architecture students in late 2008. Today is the COOP's grand opening. Click on the images to enlarge. This will be part of Habitat's submittal in the LEED for Neighborhood Development certification process as well.

Mid-Century Modernism

The are my pix of Mies' LSD Towers. In the article one can see a floor plan for the towers. I've always gotten a kick out of the applied I-Beams on the facade. The Maisons Jaoul seems a bit more human and friendly and it is interesting, at least to me, to see the variety of 'modernism.'
